Azam TV is offering an exciting career opportunity for a LED Perimeter Technician.

This role is perfect for individuals with strong technical skills, hands-on experience in LED systems, and the ability to work under pressure to ensure flawless performance during live events.

Job Purpose
The LED Perimeter Technician will be responsible for ensuring smooth operation, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and timely replacement of LED perimeter boards and related components.

The goal is to guarantee uninterrupted display quality during live productions, sports events, and commercial broadcasts.

Key Responsibilities

1.Operation & Monitoring

• Monitor LED perimeter screens during events for uninterrupted performance.
• Verify input signals from media servers, video processors, and related devices.
• Ensure proper synchronization between sending/receiving cards, media converters, and control systems

2.Troubleshooting & Repairs

• Diagnose and resolve faults in LED modules, power/data cables, and sending/receiving cards.
• Perform on-site diagnostics for issues like pixel drops, mismatches, or signal loss.
• Replace defective components promptly with minimal downtime.

3. Routine & Preventive Maintenance

• Conduct inspections of LED panels, cabling, and power systems.
• Implement cooling systems and cleaning measures to prevent faults.
• Keep accurate reports on maintenance and repairs.

4.Upgrades & Replacement Advisory

• Recommend replacements for aging LED modules and components.
• Advise on spare parts management and inventory.
• Support software updates, firmware upgrades, and calibration of LED boards.

5. Technical Coordination

• Work closely with engineers, IT, and operations teams.
• Ensure seamless integration of LED systems with video processors and broadcast feeds.
• Assist in setup, dismantling, and reconfiguration of LED perimeter systems.

6.Compliance & Safety

• Follow safety standards for handling electronic/electrical equipment.
• Ensure compliance with venue and broadcast operational requirements.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of LED display systems and sending/receiving cards (e.g., NovaStar, ColorLight, Linsn).
• Hands-on experience with video processors, media converters, and signal distribution.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues quickly.
• Familiarity with Ethernet, fiber optics, SDI/HDMI/DVI connections.
• Good understanding of preventive maintenance for electronic equipment.
• Strong reporting and communication skills.
• Flexible with working hours, including nights, weekends, and event days.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma/Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Broadcast Technology, or related fields.
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience working with LED display systems (preferably in live broadcast or sports environments).
• Experience with LED perimeter advertising systems will be an added advantage.
